|Charity Information||Action for M.E. is the leading UK charity for people affected by myalgic encephalomyelitis (M.E.) Our mission is empowering people with M.E. to fulfil their potential and secure the care and support they need, while working towards a greater understanding of the illness and ultimately a cure. M.E. is a long-term (chronic) fluctuating illness that causes symptoms affecting many body systems, more commonly the nervous and immune systems. Defined by the World Health Organisation as neurological, M.E. affects an estimated 250,000 people in the UK, and around 17 million people worldwide.|

Sonya Chowdhury, Chief Executive, Action for M.E., says: “We are hugely grateful to Marianne for choosing Action for M.E. as her charity. In supporting her to take part in Beauty Unseen, we can see her determination and hope shine through. M.E. has a considerable impact on those living with its disabling symptoms. Raising awareness of this, as Marianne is doing, is key to helping those affected access the care and support they need.”
Marianne has written a book ‘A Happier Healthier Lifestyle’ which has just been reviewed by someone who reviews books and has given it a thunderous thumbs up review and says ‘when is it going to be published, this must be published, I will be there at the signing’. Marianne is now looking for a publishing company. The review has yet to appear on the website.
